Board and Steering Group
The Board and Steering Group is comprised of directors of UK furniture manufacturers representing different sectors and company sizes. In addition to ukfirst’s Programme Director, representatives of FIRA International and BERR also sit on the advisory group.

The Board and Steering Group is responsible for:
- Approving strategic plans
- Agreeing the programmes of work
- Ensuring that ukfirst meets its targets
- Monitoring the programmes to ensure compliance with specification, time and budget
- Evaluating ukfirst’s effectiveness
- Identifying industry needs
- Suggesting appropriate programmes
- Monitoring the effectiveness of the programmes
- Encouraging and facilitating dissemination throughout the furniture sector
